They're crappy quality, ipod photos, but it still captured Dakoda and I in our pretty much natural state. Punks at heart, always. I made his jacket for Christmas last year and the vest I made myself too. I bought him his very own pair of two toned plaid bondage pants, straight from London, for his birthday. I've never seen him so happy and genuinely appreciative of anything before [in terms of gifts haha]. He's never owned his own pair before, he always wore his older brother's stuff for the longest time. I've wanted to get these for him for years but I was never able to until now, so it was a glorious day ;) [his birthday isn't until March 13th but who doesn't love early presents??]

Know Who I Am

The pants/shorts are still a work in progress. I have more patches and paint to add to the back. The outfit is quite simple but looks a bit more complicated, and that's what I like. The last photo is me showing off my big strange nose, loudly and proudly. A year ago, I would never be able to even look at such a photo of myself without either bursting into tears or wanting to break it or cut it completely off. A lot happens in a year. I am certainly not the woman I was then. I mean, I still have a long way to go before I am who I really want to be, but I am definitely happy with the direction I'm going and improvements I have made so far.

On a slightly different note, I ordered my swimsuit for this summer already. #1 because I'm tired of falling in love with a suit and waiting until the weather actually gets warmer to find out that it's out of stock in my size. And #2 because I need something pretty to motivate my workout routine to get this body ready to rock it in May, when I head down to the Outer Banks again.

My boyfriend walked off a job site today because his mom's fiance [who is his boss] was talking all kinds of crap about me and after he was told to stop, he kept going. So instead of beating his face in like he said he wanted to, my boyfriend walked off, threw his gloves in the trash and kept walking. This dude doesn't know squat about me yet for some reason felt the need to agitate Dakoda about me being a b*th and a "blow mouth" whatever that is... Not sure where he got the information to make such judgements, but since he doesn't mean much at all to me, his opinions are invalid so they don't hurt me. But this outfit, I realise, is sort of my way of expressing my attitude towards the whole matter....so take what you want from it. I really don't give a d*mn.

not sure why everything looks dirty and grungy. I mean my pants are a bit old and faded, but my other stuff isn't really that grimy I swear xD must be my lense...hmm...
[and my phone is in my back pocket....so that explains the oddly shaped bum lol]

Today consisted of a long, angry, tearful phone call, cooking, cleaning, laundry and finally a long walk with God. A lot of stupid stuff happens to us in life. But one thing I've learned is that even when humans hurt, lie, and disappoint us, my God doesn't change. He's the one solid rock I can stand on and know that He won't crumble and leave me helpless and alone. That's really all I have to say today :)
